You can't go back and film the wedding again if you miss something! So it's essential to capture as much of the day as possible.
We would always recommend that all the activities of the day are covered and then you can decide on what level of editing you require.
We have two sets of packages that will give you a generous coverage of your wedding. The Premiere Packages cover the wedding up to the the first dance and the Matinee Packages end after the speeches.
You then have a choice of edit – a full-length version or a short film version.
All packages include the ceremony and speeches and a highlights edit.

I film as much as possible on the wedding day and try to give you a generous coverage of everyone who attended and everything that happened. As well as all the things that make your wedding unique, like the venues and room decorations, transport, flowers, cake, etc.
Packages
Premiere Packages
The Premiere package has a coverage that ends after the first dance (plus a few more songs if there’s plenty of dancing).
It also includes coverage of your evening guests arriving and any activity that happens before the first dance, such as a caricaturist, magician, games, etc.
With regards to the editing, there are two options to chose from, giving you the choice of a full-length edit or a shorter one. Both include a highlights edit.

Matinée Packages
If you really don’t want such a long coverage, then this package is for you.
There is a natural end to the formalities when the speeches come to a close. This marks an ideal place to end a wedding video coverage (and is where most videos used to end before first dances became popular).
As with the Premiere Package, there are two options to chose from, giving you the choice of a full-length edit or a shorter one. Both include a highlights edit.

Package Elements
CEREMONY & SPEECHES
Each package includes the recording of these elements in their entirety.
FIRST DANCE
This will also include some more songs if there is plenty of dancing afterwards. It will also include coverage of you greeting your evening guests.
HIGHLIGHTS EDIT
This teaser/trailer version which includes the best bits from the wedding. It is ideal for sharing online and includes copyright-free music.
This version doesn’t take as long to edit, so it can be available shortly after your wedding whilst you wait for the main edit to be ready.
This version has more content than the highlights version. Most scenes that were filmed will be included albeit with a shorter scene lengths. This allows for a suitable length for showing your friends and families.
Assuming music is added to the video, this would equate to one song featuring scenes before the Ceremony, one or two songs afterwards featuring footage before the speeches Including the photography session), one or two songs before the first dance, and one song over the closing sequence.
FULL-LENGTH EDIT
As above bit with every bit of usable footage included – nothing good is left out and also features longer scenes. It’s like the director’s cut! This allows more freedom in the editing and can result in some extremely creative sequences.
This is a complete film that plays from start-to-finish and is the perfect record of your wedding.
HOME VISIT
Home visits provide an excellent opportunity to secure some attractive scenes of the bridal party before the wedding. And help build the excitement of the wedding to come.
They also give us more time to focus on people arriving at the marriage venue.
However, time and distance to the marriage venue may be a factor. If there’s enough time, home visits are recommended.
YOUR CHOICE OF MUSIC
The use of copyrighted music (popular music) is something that I do offer, and believe is integral in a wedding video. However, this is limited to private use on physical media (DVD, BluRay and USB). Unfortunately, we are not allowed to share videos with copyrighted music on social media platforms, such as Facebook, instagram, etc.
Although you can opt for copyright-free music instead, which we can help you with.
USB
USB drives are supplied as standard in all packages. Please see Delivery Options (below) for more info.
PRESENTATION BOX
All physical media (USB, DVD, BluRay) are supplied in attractive boxes and can feature personalised images and titles.
Optional Extras
To enhance your video further, a choice of optional extras are available.

VOX POPS (GUEST MESSEGES) £75
These can be great fun, but they can also be tricky things to film and incorporate into the editing (which is why they are an optional extra).
As I do not want to be a nuisance to your guests, I find the best solution is to find a nice spot somewhere whilst your meal takes place and invite people to come and give their message (a bit like the photo-booths).
Please be aware that it is not always possible to do these because of time or finding a suitable location, but we can discuss this if this is something you are interested in. -
CHILDHOOD PHOTO SEQUENCE £25
Included in the opening sequence, can be some early photos (or snippets of video) of you both at various stages of your life and a few of you both together.

Additional Information
DURATION
For full-length videos, a wedding film is, on average, around one hour thirty minutes in duration.
However, a large or small number of guests, the type of ceremony, length of speeches, receiving lines, preparations and first dances can all add or subtract from the length of the film.
Delivery Options
The videos are supplied on USB with DVD and BluRay copies being available as optional extras.
Online streaming links will be provided for the Highlights and Short Film versions providing there is no copyright music involved.
Unfortunately, if you want popular music in your video, then it must be supplied on physical media (USB, DVD, BluRay) as copyrighted music is not allowed on streaming platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).
But we can help you with suitable copyright-free music if you prefer to have your video available for streaming.
Travel
Weddings further than 60-70 miles might require a modest hotel expense (night before only).
Marriage service costs & restrictions
Depending on your marriage venue, some Vicars, Registrars, etc. often charge a fee for permission to record the service. Or we might need to sign a licence to record in these venues. You will need to check this out beforehand.
Booking Your Wedding
If you are happy and wish to proceed, we need to get a booking form filled in and a deposit paid to secure the booking.
This can all be done over the phone or via email if you wish.
Booking procedure & deposits
A booking fee of £200 is required to secure the booking. There is also an advanced payment of £300, but that is not due until one month prior to the wedding date. The balance is due upon completion of the editing, which is usually between 2-8 weeks after the wedding.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
No, VAT is not added.
Travel costs are taken into account when giving a quotation. Parking fees are included unless they are likely to be a significant amount. Please let us know if this is a possibility.
Parking at certain locations, such as roadside Churches (where time spent finding spaces could impact coverage), may require reservations to be made, which might incur fees.
No, everything should be covered in the booking form.
We quote a wedding based on the information we have been given and this gives us a good idea of when filming is likely to end. Weddings don’t always run to schedule, so we couldn’t justify charging any extra. We merely request that a first dance is done at a reasonable time, but if it isn’t then we won’t charge extra “if we decide to stay longer.”
We don’t really offer a full evenings coverage, but if something significant is happening, such as fireworks, then we may be stay and cover this. Depending on the service time of your wedding, this may be done without further costs.
We don’t agree with charging hourly rates beyond a certain time because weddings do run on, but please tell us if you want the fireworks covering and what time they might be so we can factor it into the quote if need be.
Editing a video takes time, particularly when there is hours of footage to get through. Depending on the size of the wedding, this can take up to a couple of weeks. As weddings are seasonal, there can sometime be a backlog towards the end of the season. But, this is the same for all videographers who offer their clients full-length videos with a lot of content.
Generally, videos are ready for collection around 2—8 weeks.
Once the video is complete, copies can be ordered and delivered in just a few days. It will only depend on stock or if a personalised cover needs producing or if a wooden presentation box needs ordering.
